My dedication to Zora Neale Hurston Epic Harlem Renaissance Heroine

A poem I wanted to share with ya’ll [here you are Olufemi Olu'Femi ;) ]

“ZORA”
Write with black ink
Across a lily white
Sky, stalk the steps
Of great men
in stilettos
‘cause you bad…
turn parchment
into a witness,
testimony of human
life
tilt your hat at naysayers
‘cause you bad…
brush insults
away like dust mites
wrap yourself
in that mink
‘cause you bad
send brilliant
thoughts cascading
over pages
and lovers
packing
all in one breath
‘cause you bad…
sing our song
passionately, passionately
‘cause we bad
‘cause we bad
CAUSE WE BAD…Image
